Objects are nouns or noun-equivalents with which something is being done in the sentence. Objects (∆) are placed after the subject (x) and the verb (o) in sentences with normal word order. If we want to accentuate the object, it is placed at the beginning of the sentence, and inversion is used.
Normal word order:

8 Ordstilling
8.4 Ordstilling i sætninger med genstandsled
Genstandsled er et navneord eller et navneagtigt ord, der gøres noget ved i en sætning. Genstandsled (∆) står efter grundled (x) og udsagnsled (o) i sætninger med ligefrem ordstilling. Hvis man vil fremhæve genstandsleddet, står det først i sætningen, og der bliver omvendt ordstilling.
