4 Adjectives

4.1 Inflection of adjectives

Adjectives inflect like the noun they describe. They inflect, for instance, according to the n-words and t-words; they have singular and plural forms as well as definite and indefinite forms.

Adjectives have no ending with indefinite n-words, but add, as a rule, -t with t-words, and -e in the plural and the definite form.

Some adjectives do not add -t with t-words.

Comparison:
In English the adjective does not inflect in numbers, definiteness or gender.

two big trees
the big trees

4 Tillægsord

4.1 Tillægsords bøjning

Tillægsord bøjes ligesom de navneord, de beskriver. De bøjes således efter n-ord, t-ord, tal og bestemthed.

Tillægsord har ingen endelse ved ubestemt n-ord, men tilføjer som regel -t ved t-ord, -e i flertal og bestemt form.

Enkelte tillægsord tilføjer ikke -t ved t-ord.
