2.3 Nouns in the plural

Most nouns have a plural form. The plural, like the singular, has an indefinite form and a definite form.

Huse bliver repareret. Houses are being repaired.
Drenge larmer altid. Boys are always noisy.
Husene bliver repareret. The houses are being repaired.
Drengene larmer altid. The boys are always noisy.

Comparison:
In English it is not sufficient to add an ending to the indefinite form of the noun to form the definite plural as it is done in Danish. It is necessary to use the article the.
