Co-ordinating conjunctions connect words, sentence elements and sentences of the same type. For example a noun is connected with a noun, an adjective with an adjective or a main sentence with another main sentence.
The co-ordinating conjunctions are: og, men, eller.
Manden og konen kører sammen. | The husband and the wife ride together. |
Kaffen er stærk, men dejlig. | The coffee is strong but delicious. |
Kommer du hjem i eftermiddag, eller kommer du først i aften? | Are you coming home this afternoon, or are you not coming until tonight? |
