A verb tells us about an action, or a condition. This means that a verb describes a situation in which we do something, or in which something happens.
Hun sover. | She sleeps. |
Pigen spiser mad. | The girl eats food. |
Bilen kører hurtigt. | The car travels fast. |
Koppen står på bordet. | The cup stands on the table. |
In Danish the verb does not change its ending in the different persons. The verb changes ending in the different tenses, but the form of the verb is the same within the different tenses.
